Crystal Palace plotting Cardiff raid
manager Tony Pulis is ready to move for Cardiff defender Mark Hudson as he plots to save his new side from an immediate return to the Championship, according to reports from The Mirror.
The former Stoke chief has recently taken charge of the Eagles, who are, despite their weekend win, firmly embedded in the Premier League’s bottom three.
Pulis is believed to have made bolstering the club’s defensive options a priority, with the London outfit having shipped 21 goals in just 12 top tier games.
Hudson is thought to be on his radar, with the Bluebirds ace having failed to make a single league appearance for the South Wales club, despite having captained them to promotion last term.
The 31-year-old – who spent four years with Palace prior to joining Cardiff – has been dislodged from Malky Mackay’s starting XI following the arrival of Seven Caulker.
Pulis is hopeful that he can convince the centre-back to become a part of his Palace project, and could test his employers’ willingness to hold onto their man.
The Selhurst Park club are also tracking Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes, who is thought to be valued at around £6m.
Could Mark Hudson keep Crystal Palace in the Premier League?
